The Knox County Health Department
conducts inspections of all body art establishments throughout the county.
Body art facilities provide tattoo and
piercing services.
In order to reduce the risks associatedwith blood bornepathogens and
improper sanitation, our staff
conducts assessments to assure
compliance with Illinois State
standards.

operations and
maintenance of each
facility,as well as
determining if the
facilities are compliant
with Illinois State standards.
